Rae Ellen (Rains) Heinzig Bland was born on December 1, 1939, in Okemah, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Sunday, April 14, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 84.

Rae, the daughter of LeeRayandMaryEllen (Douglas) Rains, was a long-time resident of Prague. She was a 1958 graduate of Prague High School. She married James Emil Heinzig on August 31, 1958, at Deer Creek Baptist Church in Stroud. Rae worked for several years for the First National Bank of Prague, before dedicating her time to raising her children and family. Rae was a long-time member of Deer Creek Baptist Church where she served as the church organist, church treasurer, and Sunday School teacher for many years.

Rae was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband James Emil Heinzig, second husband, Bobby Gene Bland and two brothers, George Rains and Darrell Rains.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis Heinzig and Iona McMillan of Whitefish, Montana, Jeff and Holly Heinzig of Norman, Oklahoma, and Rocky and Kristina Flint of Lawton Oklahoma; nine grandchildren: Caleb Heinzig and his wife, Amber, Hannah McHughes and her husband, Michael, Akasha Heinzig, Seth Heinzig and his wife Cecilia Price; Avalon McMillan and her husband Preston Dreisbach, Nate Heinzig and his wife Shanaira, Addyson Flint, Allyson Flint and Annyson Flint; five great-grandchildren: Jocelyn, Cade, Samuel, Forest, Revan, and one on the way; and a host of church family and friends.

A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Deer Creek Baptist Church in Stroud with Rev. Mike Haines officiating. Interment followed at Kellerby Cemetery in Prague.
