More charges for inmate

A Lincoln County Jail inmate already facing multiple felonies and a misdemeanor, has a new felony filed against him following a disturbance in the jail in which property was allegedly damaged. A formal charge of malicious injury to property over $1,000 was filed April 19 in Lincoln County District Court against Eliah Lively, 25, of Wellston.

County Commission

Lincoln County commissioners this week approved a budget contract with the OSU Extension Office and also approved the ARPA Funds Expenditure Documentation form for the OSU Extension Office building. County Clerk Alicia Wagnon said there is $1,128,380 remaining in the ARPA funds and reminded commissioners the funds must be under contract by the end of 2024.

Storm knocks out power

Heavy thunderstorms with powerful winds and rain late Monday night and early Tuesday knocked out power to some Lincoln County residents and businesses, but no injuries have been reported. Lincoln County Emergency Management Director Charlotte Brown said power outages were reported in Carney, Tryon and Agra.
