Letter to the editor

Dear Editor,

Gone are the days when I could pick up a newspaper and find 15-20 ads for garage sales and make my plans as to where to go. Now, people put them on Facebook and if you’re not Facebook friends, you don’t get that information. Even if you have an ad, you can still put it on Facebook.

I had an ad for my last garage sale of 66 words. A lady from Prague came from that ad and spent $74.

Also, it keeps my local paper going. Over a period of years on three different instances things changed because we were informed. These things put money in our pocket and, in one instance, made life easier for us.

So, support your local paper. You’ll never be sorry.
