Chandler closed out its non-district schedule Friday with a 42-14 loss at Beggs. The game was still within three scores in the fourth quarter, but depth became a problem as the Lions had several players leave the field with injuries.

It was a busy week for North Rock Creek junior Jordan Coody. On Tuesday, he ran the 5K at the North Canadian River Conference meet, held at North Rock Creek’s course. He lead-footed the gas off the starting line and never slacked off.

Bertha Loretta (Turner) Wilkins of McLoud, Okla., passed from this life to her rewards in Heaven just one day shy of her 102nd birthday at her home in McLoud on September 18, 2021. She was born September 19, 1919 to John Wesley and Bertie (Wood) Turner in Beggs, Okla., the fourth of six children.
