One Christmas break when I was 17 or so, Harold Wingard asked if I’d like to make the holiday profitable by working on a barn he was building. Harold owned a large dairy south of Fitzhugh and was building what was called a loafing barn. It was a big one, maybe 120 by 60 feet, going off memory.

I’m fed up with Spam calls, robo calls, whatever they are called. Not sure about your thoughts on these, but they are simply annoying. One day last week when the cell phone rang, it showed I was getting a Spam risk call from some foreign country.

Johnny Lee Morton, 88, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Uncle passed away at his home on September 8, 2021. Lee was born December 15, 1932 in Lincoln County, Okla., to Junia “Jule” C. and Lizzie May (Duffy) Morton. He was one of nine siblings.
