Things were slowly turning Prague’s way Friday night when the Red Devils found themselves facing a punt situation disguised as a chance to blow the game open. It was midway through the third quarter and Prague was up, 28-14.

Lady Lions win 66 tournament

Chandler came back from a 7-2 hole against Stroud in the finals and won the 66 Conference tournament championship Saturday night in McLoud. It was the third game of the day between the two teams. Stroud won, 4-2, in the winners’ bracket finals Saturday morning.

Coody wins at Kingfisher

North Rock Creek’s Jordan Coody won the Kingfisher cross country meet by almost half a minute on Saturday. A junior, Coody covered the 5K course in 18:17.03. Jacoby Welsh from Weatherford was second, with a time of 18:48.50 North Rock Creek’s boys finished fifth and the girls took ninth.

Tommy Ross Borror was born to Verner and Freda (Durham) Borror on March 23, 1947, in Oklahoma City. He died Tuesday, August 24, 2021, in Shawnee, Okla., at the age of 74 years. A former truck driver, he began mission work after accepting Christ as his Saviour in 1977.
