Community prayer event planned

Patricia Johnson, pastor of Wellston United Methodist Church invites the Wellston community to join in a Back-To-School Prayer Walk, 7:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 16.

Chandler Schools offer free meals

Chandler Public Schools is participating in a free breakfast and/ or free lunch program for the current 2021-2022 school year. Therefore, all students enrolled in the district will receive free breakfast and/or lunch.

Blood donors needed

The Lincoln County Health Department will host a Bedlam Blood Drive, 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 17. Look for the Oklahoma Blood Institute’s Bloodmobile parked at 101 Meadow Lane in Chandler. While supplies last, donors can receive a choice of college T-shirts or local amusement tickets.

1. Update on Asphalt Overlay on Highway 18 A. ODOT has just layed their third 2” asphalt overlay this week. Under each overlay there is a spray or bitumen that is a binder from one overlay to another. It also acts as a sealer.
