Local 4-H members were able to take part in the 4-H Has Talent contest on Jan. 24 at the Prague Public Schools Auditorium in Prague. Members could compete with one individual talent and one small or large group act.
In the Junior Individual category, Bellamy Little from Meeker 4-H won first place and a blue ribbon for her magic show performance. Other Blue Ribbon winners were Kylee Imhoff from Prague 4-H with her piano solo “Kaleidoscope, and Flora Smith from Carney 4-H, who danced to Aladdin Song. Red Ribbon winners were Annabell McCarley from Chandler 4-H with her “Oh Holy Night” solo, Aurora Little from Meeker 4-H for performing “Amazing Grace” on the Kalimba, Felicia Woods from Prague 4-H with a drum solo, and Jade Wakley from Chandler 4-H with a performance of “Proof of Your Love” on guitar.
In the Senior Individual category, Brianna Wakely from Chandler 4-H won first place and a Blue Ribbon for her performance of “Fur Elise” on piano. Other Blue Ribbon winners were Kendal Williams from Agra 4-H and Jacob Fuqua for his performance of “Penny,” a guitar and vocal solo.
For Junior Small Group, first place and a Blue Ribbon went to Bellamy Little and Aurora Little from Meeker 4-H for their performance of “Le Poisson.” The Senior Large Group first-place and Blue-Ribbon winner was the performance of an act called “Corn” by Riley Willimas, Kendal Williams, John Fleury, Zoey Fleury and Wyatt Plummer from Agra 4-H.
Clover Buds were allowed to perform but didn’t compete. From Chandler 4-H, Graham McCarley performed “Jesus Loves Me,” as did Rosie McCarley, and Danny Taylor performed “America the Beautiful.” From Meeker 4-H, Browyn Little performed “Singing in the Rain.”
