Arraingment continued in felony case

An arraignment for a Prague man facing four felony charges with a child has been continued until May.

Isaias M. Nunez, 32, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on Aug. 12, 2024 with lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16, assault with intent to commit a felony-lewd acts with a child, lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16, and assault with intent to commit a felony-lewd acts with a child.

He recently waived his preliminary hearing and his arraignment had been set for March 25, 2025.

District Judge Sarah Bridge announced that by agreement of both parties the case has been continued until 9 a.m. May 20, 2025.

In Count 1, Nunez is accused of between June 21, 2021 and June 20, 2022 of committing the crime of Lewd Acts with a female child who was nine years old at the time.

Or in the Alternative Count 2, of during the same time period he allegedly committed the crime of assault with intent to commit lewd acts with a nineyear-old female child.

Count 3, charges Nunez, in the same time period of committing the crime of indecent or lewd with a female child who was nine years old at the time.

Or, in the Alternative Count 4 of during the same time period of committing the crime of assault with intent to commit lewd acts with a female child who was nine at the time.

Tony Foreman, who is a District Attorney’s investigator for the 23rd Judicial District, states in a probable cause affidavit that he was assigned to a follow up investigation of lewd acts that the Prague Police Department had begun and said based on the facts he learned sought the charges against Nunez.
