Two bench warrants have been issued for the arrest of a Chandler man facing three felonies and a misdemeanor in two different cases.
The cases were filed and bench warrants issued on consecutive days for the arrest of Darrick Lee Delano Hunter, 41.
He was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court Nov. 27 with kidnapping and domestic assault and battery by strangulation, both felonies. A $25,000 bench warrant was issued the same day.
On Nov. 28, he was charged in Lincoln County District Court with first degree burglary, a felony and domestic abuseassault and battery, a misdemeanor. A $15,000 bench warrant was issued on the same day.
Supplemental information filed by Assistant District Attorney Kelly Trimble shows Hunter has been convicted of at least seven previous felonies.
In the kidnapping charge, Hunter is accused of between Nov. 17 and 18 this year of forcibly confining Raelynn Smith in Lincoln County against her will and without lawful authority.
Between the same dates, he is charged with domestic assault and battery by strangulation by intentionally and willfully strangling Smith who he was in a dating relationship with and choking her.
The first degree burglary count accuses Hunter on Nov. 25, 2023 of breaking and entering into the dwelling house occupied and in possession of Raelynn Smith and Natalie Tull without their consent to commit the crime of assault and battery upon Smith by punching her with force and violence with the intent to injure her.
The supplemental information shows Hunter was convicted on Nov. 20, 2006 in Oklahoma County District Court of seven different cases filed against him between 2001 and 2005.
They include two second degree burglary charges, one attempted second degree count, shooting with intent to kill, possession of a firearm after conviction of a felony; and two counts of concealing stolen property.
