Hiland Dairy is now accepting scholarship applications from students at Chandler High School. They are offering three this year: first place is $500, second is $300 and third is $200.
The scholarship is open to any student that is entering their sophomore, junior or senior year at Chandler High School or is part of the graduating class of 2025. Previous winners are eligible. Applications are available for pick-up at Chandler High School.
Applicants answer all six questions on the form and have signatures in all the required areas. They should also have a valid, current high school transcript attached. The applications must be typed and postmarked no later than May 2, 2025. They can be sent to the Chandler Area Chamber of Commerce, ℅ Marilyn Emde, 400 E. Route 66, Chandler, OK, 74834.
The scholarship committee will use the scoring system marked on the application form to select the winners and all applicants will remain anonymous to the selection committee. Spelling, grammar and neatness are considered.
Winners will be contacted by the Chandler Chamber of Commerce no later than May 30. The first-pace winner is required to attend the annual Ice Cream Festival on June 14 to receive their scholarship.
