McCormick waives hearing on felony

A woman convicted of a number of felonies over the past 16 years and facing new charges has waived her preliminary hearing.

Tenneah De-Nay McCormick, 39, was charged in Lincoln County District Court May 19 with three felonies and one misdemeanor.

Special Judge Emily Mueller set her bond at $10,000 and she made her initial appearance on May 26. The judge scheduled a pre-preliminary hearing for June 23 and then it was continued until July 7. It was continued again until July 28 and on that date she waived her preliminary hearing. Judge Mueller set her arraignment for 9:30 a.m. Aug. 9. On that date, District Judge Cindy Ashwood continued her arraignment until 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 30.

McCormick was charged with possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance with intent to distribute after two or more felonies; manufacture of CDS/possessing material with intent to manufacture after former conviction of two or more felonies; and possession of a firearm after former conviction of two or more felonies.

The misdemeanor count is for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

In Count 1, she is accused on May 11 of possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute after conviction of two or more felonies.

Count 2 charges her with possessing methamphetamine and materials which are used to manufacture methamphetamine at 330268 E. 850 Road in Wellston in Lincoln County.

The third felony accuses her on May 11 of possessing a .40 caliber Smith and Wesson pistol in her possession at the residence she resides after being convicted in Lincoln County District Court on March 18, 2016 of possession of CDS and three misdemeanors.

In addition to that conviction, supplemental information filed by prosecutors shows she has these previous convictions: May 4, 2006, in Creek County District Court the felony count of possessing CDS with intent to distribute and two misdemeanors.

On Jan. 9, 2008, in Creek County District Court, two felony counts of possessing CDS and a misdemeanor.

In Oklahoma County District Court on Aug. 29, 2011, the felony offense of second degree forgery.

On that same date in the same county, possession of CDS, cocaine; possession of CDS, methamphetamine; two counts of concealing stolen property; two counts of second degree forgery; identity theft; possessing proceeds from CDS; another count of CDS, marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Again on the same date and in the same county three more counts of second degree forgery; falsely personating another.

In Garfield County District Court on Jan. 25, 2012, uttering a forged instrument and identity theft.

Lincoln County Deputy Sheriff James Robinson stated in an affidavit filed in the case the defendant was taken into custody on May 11 this year as he and other deputies executed arrests warrants for her and Michael Ray Hedge.

Hedge was also arrested on several felonies and misdemeanors.

Court records show that McCormick also was charged earlier in the month of May with several misdemeanor counts.
