No contest plea in felony lewd act to child

A Prague man whose charge was amended has pleaded no contest and drawn a deferred sentence.

Sean A. Warstler, 35, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on Jan. 24, 2023 with felony lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16.

The state amended the charge to misdemeanor assault and battery.

Appearing before District JudgeJohnCanavan recently, Warstler, as the result of a plea bargain, with drew his previous plea and entered a no contest plea to the amended charge.

ThecourtfoundWarstler guilty as charged and deferred his sentenced for two years. He was also assessed a $100 fine, $100 VCA and court costs.

The judge ordered Warstler to perform 40 hours of Community Service,pay911feesand placed him on probation with Oklahoma Court Services.

Warstler was ordered to report to the Probation Office and the Court Clerk’s Office.

Assistant District Attorney Kelly Trimble prosecuted the case and Warstler was represented by defense attorney Dan Pond.
