Those who were out and about in downtown Chandler Friday afternoon were treated to the unusual sight and sound of horses clopping down the Manvel Avenue sidewalk. Sean Herren, from Blackwell, above with horses Odyssey and Storm, is riding across the state from his home in northern Oklahoma to Durant, and perhaps then into Texas, he said. He said he and the horses sleep in empty rodeo arenas or in places provided by friendly people he meets. And why the trip? “I lost my mind and I’m trying to find it,” he said. Photo/ Brian Blansett
