Rotarians for November announced

Tatum Crouch and Gage Crews were selected as Rotarians of the Month for November by the Rotary Club.

Tatum Crouch is the daughter of Jason and Robin Crouch and has one younger sibling, Chloe Crouch. She has a 4.0 GPA and is ranked first in her class. She has taken Advanced Math and English for four years as well as concurrent college classes.

Crouch serves as secretary of the National Honor Society. She is also a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society. Her academic honors include the Superintendent’s Honor Roll, numerous Academic Excellence Awards, and Gifted and Talented. Other honors include being named Lion of the Month in August, to the Bancfirst Student Board, junior class football homecoming candidate, and the 2024 At-Large football homecoming candidate.

Crouch is the current Student Council vice president. She has also served her class as junior class president and sophomore class vice president and has been involved in the Student Council in various roles throughout high school. Her leadership activities include: Oklahoma Youth Leadership Class 24, Girls State Delegate, page for the Oklahoma House of Representatives, Youth Action for Health Leadership, Positive Peers, Peer Mentors, PSI, Native American Student Association councilmember, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes Student Board.

Crouch is also a member of Business Professionals of America and the International Thespian Society. She is a lifelong member of the Chandler First United Methodist Church, where she is active in the youth group and serves as a Youth Council Representative on the FUMC Board of Stewards.

Crouch is a four-year member of the five-time State Champion Chandler High School Pom Team. She was a member of the 2021 OSDTDA Pom Academic State Champion Team, 2022 OSDTDA Hip Hop and Jazz State Champion Teams, and the 2023 Hip Hop and Jazz State Champion Teams, as well as a recipient of the 2022 Dance Team Union “Be Bold” Award. She has won individual Academic Achievement Awards in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Her other athletic teams include cross country, track and Dance Star Productions competitive dance team.

Crouch has been involved in several community service activities, including Stamp Out Starvation, Relay for Life, Operation Christmas Child, Chandler Ice Cream Festival, Adopt a Child for Christmas, God and People’s Food Pantry, speaker and food service at Veteran’s Day Programs, service project for Jeremiah House, service project for Lincoln County Museum of Pioneer History, performed in educational skits through Positive Peers, Memorial Day flag placement, local Halloween Carnival, FUMC Vacation Bible School Crew Leader, and reading to elementary classrooms. She was also a ten-year member of Girl Scout Troop 919, where she served on numerous community service projects, including fundraising for the Safe Routes to School Sidewalk Project. Crouch volunteers for Chandler Recycles and manages the Chandler Recycles Instagram Page. She is also a summer lifeguard at the Cushing Aquatic Center.

Crouch plans to major in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Oklahoma State University. Her future goal is to graduate from medical school and return home to Chandler to serve as a family practice physician.

Gage Crews is the son of Gary and Candace and has one younger sibling, Hope Crews.

Crews has a 4.0 GPA and is ranked first his class. He has taken Advanced English for three years, as well as concurrent college classes.

Crews is a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society. His academic honors include the Superintendent’s Honor Roll, numerous Academic Excellence Awards, and Gifted and Talented. Other honors include being named Lions Club Lion-of-the-Month and Bancfirst Student Board, along with being named to the Cimarron Valley Honor Band.

His leadership activities include: Youth Action for Health Leadership, Positive Peers, PSI, and Native American Student Association.

Crews is a four-year member of the Class 2A State Champion Chandler High School Marching Band. He has also achieved numerous accolades with the band, including a 2X OSSAA Sweepstakes Award, 4X OSSAA Superior Marching Ratings, and being named to the Cimarron Valley Honor Band.

Crews plans to major in Instrumental Music Education at Oklahoma State University. His future goal is to graduate from college and spread his love and passion for music, working as a band director close to home.
