Voters in four school districts inside Lincoln County decided Board of Education races in Tuesday’s General School Election and one of those also had a bond proposition.

Voters in a fifth school district inside the county helped decide a bond proposal.

Voters in the Prague School District helped push through a $28,330,000 bond proposition by the slimmest of margins. Needing a supermajority of 60 percent since it’s an ad valorem tax bond issue, the yes votes were 563 to 367 no votes.

The proposition won with 60.54 percent in favor of the proposition to 39.46 percent against it.

In the Prague Board of Education race, Coty Davis defeated Travis Provaznik 481 to 431.

In Meeker, voters elected Jason Hessman over Leonard Buoy. Hessman had 131 votes to 37 for Buoy.

In Stroud, Holly A. Thompson garnered 246 votes to win that seat over Jerred Eversole who had 207.

In Wellston, Tyler Barnes received 152 votes to 125 for Eric Bozeman to capture that board seat.

The $28,330,000 bond proposition in Prague will provide funds to be issued in series for the purpose of constructing, equipping, repairing and remodeling school buildings and acquiring school furniture, fixtures and equipment and acquiring and improving school sites.

Lincoln County voters residing in the Luther School District helped with pushing over a $28.6 million bond issue to provide funds for the purpose of performing improvements at the elementary school site and performing improvements at the middle school site.
