For the second year, we asked area high school seniors to write letters to veterans thanking them for their service.
This year, it was the seniors from the Meeker Bulldogs football team, the Pride of Chandler band and the Stroud Tigers football team and the Chandler Lions football team.

Dear Veterans, Thank you Veterans for your pride and sacrifices for our country.
I am ever so grateful knowing that you are the reason we can sleep better at night, love our families, and be closer as a union.
Everything you do is for others and I admire your ways of humanity and selflessness.
Many people know stories about what goes on, but not many know about what you genuinely went through.
For that, everyone should hear your stories and give thanks on what beautiful people we call Our Heroes.
