A bench warrant issued for the arrest of a Norman man facing two charges has been returned and filed and he made his initial appearance on Nov. 2.
David Ade, 57, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court Oct. 3 with aggravated assault and battery, a felony and assault and battery, a misdemeanor, following a recent domestic disturbance in which the ear of one of the victims was reportedly partially bitten off.
In the felony, Ade is accused on Sep. 24 of committing an aggravated assault and battery upon Landon Hawkins by hitting, biting, pushing and other forms of assault with force and violence, allegedly inflicting great bodily injury on Hawkins by biting off a portion of his ear with the unlawful intent to do corporal hurt and injury to him.
The misdemeanor charges Ade on the same day with unlawfully committing an assault and battery upon Briana Williams by punching the victim about the head and body with his hands and fists with force and violence.
Lincoln County Deputy Sheriff Ty Wiseman states in a probable cause affidavit that he and Deputy Sheriff Kevin Roe were a two-man unit on Sep. 24 when about 7:44 p.m. they were dispatched to 356102 E. 1030 Road in Lincoln County for a domestic disturbance in progress.
The reporting party, Brianna Williams, advised her ex-boyfriend Michael Ade and his dad David Ade came to the residence for a custody exchange and assaulted her and her boyfriend Landon Hawkins. Williams advised deputies she was pregnant.
She told the deputies Michael and David had left the residence in a gray Nissan Altima possibly headed for I-40 to return home. She advised that half of Landon’s ear was bitten off and they were trying to locate it. Dispatch advised the deputies Miller EMS was en route.
Hawkins informed the deputies that both Michael and David attacked him.
Both Brianna and Landon were transported to OU Medical Center for further medical treatment.
