There was a lot of energy flowing on September 4, 2022 for The Chosen House’s 1st Motorcycle ride fundraiser. It was their 9th annual Ride for recovery sponsored by Survivors clean and sober central OK Tribe. The ride began and ended at Lakeside Venue at Shawnee Twin Lake. There were over 100 bike riders and close to 200 people participated in this fundraiser. This organization has different clubs in different states with sobriety ranging from 6 months to 30 years. The Chosen House had 2 former residents and 4 Chandler residents that participated in the ride. The chosen House board members, staff, former and current residents passed out water to riders at the Route 66 pavilion. At the end of the ride, they ate lunch and were presented $8,459.00. The Chosen House’s next fundraiser will be on Friday, October 4th from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at their second Annual Pulled Pork and Pearls fundraiser at the Interpretive Center in Chandler. Come grab some lunch for $10.00, bid on some prizes, and you may win a door prize.
