Whitfield signs with El Paso

Meeker football player Tim Whitfield, above, signed a contract to play football for the West Texas Buccaneers, based in El Paso, Texas

The team is in the American Arena League and competes in a division with teams from Dallas, Houston, Fort Worth, and San Antonio.

Whitfield played high school football in Meeker and played in college at Langston University.
