The Alpha Iota Chapter of the Oklahoma State of Delta Kappa Gamma hosted its yearly senior night/bingo celebration for area senior ladies on March 3 at the Chandler Methodist Church. Twenty seven senior ladies from Chandler and Stroud enjoyed an evening of pizza, salad and dessert, a devotion by Cynthia Snider, and numerous rounds of senior bingo and prizes. Early voting starts Apr. 2 for Lincoln County voters

Early voting begins on Thursday, April 2nd for voters in Lincoln County. Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on Election Day have the option of voting early at their County Election Board.Lincoln County Election Board Secretary Dena Jo Bromley said early voting is open to all voters.

Wellston man charged with maintaining drug house

A Wellston man was charged with maintaining a place to store and sell controlled substances, according tocourtdocuments.District Attorney Adam Panter filed the charge on Feb. 18 against Paul William O’Connor, 64, who faces one felony count.

Turnpike facelift to include Davenport

The Turner Turnpike Corridor through Lincoln County is getting a bigger facelift beyond the ongoing widening project. With projects completed or nearly completed in Stroud and Wellston, the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA) is gearing up to start work in Chandler and near Davenport.

Chandler hires Grant Moore as superintendent
