Suspect waives preliminary hearing

A driver who led law enforcement officers in a high speed pursuit that reportedly started in Perkins and ended at the Dale Middle School has waived his preliminary hearing. His arraignment has been scheduled. The pursuit went partially through a local farmer’s wheat field.

Chandler and Meeker ended marching band season on a high note with a combined 15 students - 11 from Chandler and four from Meeker - making the Cimarron Valley Honor Band. The band has a total of 80 students from all over the state.

Four-way stop coming to 9th and Manvel

EMILY KALKA The Chandler City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to install a temporary four-way stop at the intersection of 9th and Manvel while expediting the process of applying for TAP grants through the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) to improve the downtown area.
Last week, the Chandler FFA chapter conducted its annual fire hydrant weed eating. Students cut grass around the hydrants for easier access in case of an emergency and also picked up trash. Pictured above at the school farm are Aiden Rednour, Jackson Frank, Riley Shafer, Ava White, Jillian frank, Caden Burbach, Weslyn Seward, Landon Harkins, Tanner Vaughn.
