Preliminary hearings been scheduled for the Assistant Police Chief of Prague and his wife who are facing a total of 43 felony charges between them related to child sexual and physical abuse.

Hearing set for child abuse case

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for a McLoud woman facing two counts of enabling child abuse and one for child neglect and her motion to modify her bond has been taken under advisement.

Two deaths reported, dozens of roads closed

Torrential rainfall in Lincoln and Pottawatomie Counties has led to the deaths of two drivers, both drownings, and closed numerous roads and some bridges due to heavy flooding.Two classes had to be moved into other classes at North Rock Creek School due to water seeping in, the superintendent said.
