Innocent pleas

A woman from Meeker and a Shawnee man, each charged with three felonies, have pleaded innocent to all the counts. Their cases have been scheduled for a December felony disposition docket.

Chandler head coach Jack Gray said the Lions wanted to make a statement Friday night against Hugo.Boy, did they. After leaving the playoffs early last year, Chandler dominated the Buffaloes and barged into the second round of the playoffs with 35-0 win.

Davenport falls in first round

The Davenport Bulldogs saw their 2024 football season come to an end last Friday, dropping a 52-7 decision to Wilson- Henryetta during a first round playoff contest on the road.It was the Bulldogs’ 21st consecutive year to make the playoffs, Coach John Greenfield noted.

A woman from Paden and a man from Prague have died in a two-vehicle, head-on collision west of Prague in Lincoln County.State Trooper Nathan Jackson, who investigated the collision, identified two who died as Lacey Collins, 38, of Paden and Norman Pyattet, 48 of Prague.
