Trial continued in child abuse case

The trial for a woman who was employed as a full time in-home nurse and charged with child abuse has been continued again, this time the October jury docket.Candice Elizabeth Bootenhoff, 39, of Luther was formally charged Oct. 31, 2022 in Lincoln County District Court with felony child abuse.

Meeker board of education meeting

Meeker’s Board of Education this week approved continuing contracts for certified staff, support staff and for extra duty for the 2024-2025 school year.Board members also voted to employ Melissa Newport as a Middle School teacher and accepted the resignation of Tommy Williams, custodian/maintenance.
