McLoud gun case to go to trial

A McLoud man facing state felony charges after he already had admitted a federal firearms count and was sentenced, has been scheduled to stand trial. Christopher Steven Ledbetter originally was charged in Lincoln County District Court on Sep. 14 with five felonies.

Hearing set in Prague rape case

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for an Okemah man facing three charges of first degree rape. Dustin Ardell Cruce, 38, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on Feb. 16 with two counts of first degree rape and one count of rape by instrumentation.

Chandler woman’s hearing set

A pre-preliminary hearing has been set for a Chandler woman facing a felony and two misdemeanors as the result of a traffic stop conducted by Chandler police in late February. Jonstella Ashlyn Neal, 25, was formally charged Feb.

A Meeker man suffered injuries last Saturday evening when his vehicle struck him on SH 18 north of Meeker. Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Conner Fryrear, who investigated the crash, identified the injured man as Gerald Cooper, 79.
