After an executive session, the Tryon Board of Trustees unanimously approved the termination of their Police Chief, James Hampton.
Mohammad Alzyoud will serve as the acting Police Chief and the position will open back up.
Other actions made by board members include:
Approval of the minutes of the regular meeting held Mar. 10 and emergency meeting held Mar. 16.
Approval of the monthly department head reports.
Approval of the monthly financial reports.
Approval of the monthly claims.
Approval to add Jessica Turpin to the fire department.
No action was taken regarding the employee work schedule during COVID-19.
No action was taken on the budget timeline.
