This is the Eighty-Second article in a semipermanent column for Stroud Arts that appears in the Stroud American. The mission of these articles is to inform, educate and inspire you, the reader, to Make Art Happen in your life and the life of our community.
Unfortunately, due to the rising number of Covid Cases across Oklahoma, the Stroud Arts Board of Directors have made the decision to cancel the 2021 Medieval Faire.
The SA Board was excited to offer this fun, unique event to our community and provide a venue to the Artistic Minded residents who are often overlooked in local activities and programming.
This decision was not made lightly and there was much discussion followed by sadness as we took the final vote. Indeed, many of our Board Members have participated, performed, staffed, gotten engaged, raised our families and had a lot of fun at Medieval/ Renaissance Faires since they were in High School.
But, even with the cancellation of the Medieval Faire, there may be some artistic value for our community.
Over the past few weeks, this column focused on preparing local volunteers for the 2nd Annual Stroud Arts Medieval Faire.
Each week, a separate concept in developing a Character or on how to perform as that character in relation to Medieval Faires was published and in sum, the entire Actor Performance section of the Stroud Arts: Medieval Faire Entertainer Guidelines Handbook was presented to the public.
If you review the pasts columns, you can see how these articles can be of use to any actor or writer in developing the background of a Character and how to present this material in a well-rounded character in any media.
I hope that the articles will be of use to you, the reader as you … Make Art Happen
