Jesus said we must enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. He also said we must become spiritually minded before we can go there. We cannot be carnally minded and spiritually minded. The carnal mind cannot please God. In fact it is an enemy of God.
The disciples taught that to be carnally minded is death. In fact the carnal mind is the anti-Christ. As we seem to claim by things that Jesus did for us such as some claim to be saved by grace when they have not taken the first step to obtain grace. Our faith will save us if it is faith in Jesus to do what He said. If we are not putting all our heart into doing what Jesus said, we probably are stopping short. A point of action is when we pick up sayings of many to claim to be saved. We try to pray out of the spirit.
When our Lord asks for something to Himself, He will do it. To be spiritual means to have the things of this world lose their power over us. Spiritual means becoming one in Jesus and the Father. We become part of the host of heaven.
We should not be deceived by the mind of man but rather follow Jesus. He is here now, leading the way to transformation. Let’s do what Jesus said to do. Keep His sayings by having it the greatest desire of our heart.
Let’s not be lukewarm. One of His commandments is for us to wait for the Lord to speak in us about Him because we will mislead people otherwise. Make sure we watch so He does not pass us by. Remember to pray in the spirit. Remember the spiritual mind is not the same as the carnal mind.
Expecting our Lord to do what we ask will not work. First, we need to obey Him. When we do, we will see Him, and we will be like Him. Then He will answer our prayers.
