Auditions for The Secret Affairs of Mildred Wild will be held on August 7 at 2:00 p.m. and August 8 at 6:00 p.m. at Lincoln County On-Stage, 108 E. 8th Street in Chandler.
Five men and four women are being sought for the show.
Director David Timmons said there are large and small parts available.
Written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paul Zindel, the comedy is about a woman whose moviebased fantasy life starts taking over her real life and the husband who loves her despite it. A meddling sister-in-law, a landlady, a butcher who shares Mildred’s passion for film, a nun, and TV gameshow employees round out this hilarious comedy.
“The audition will consist of improvisational style games with some directed reading,” Director Timmons said. “There are parts suitable for beginners and seasoned actors, so I hope that anyone interested will come to the auditions.”
The production will be held on September 30 October 1, 2, 7, and 8.
