A Wellston truck driver was injured recently in a traffic collision west of Mooreland in Woodward County.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Nathan Biggs identified the injured driver as Shawn Trollinger, 44.
The trooper reported Trollinger was transported by Woodward EMS to Alliance Health in Woodward and admitted in stable condition with arm injuries.
Biggs said the crash occurred shortly before 11 a.m. on U.S. 412 about 4.9 miles west of Mooreland. He reported Trollinger was driving a 2013 Mack semi eastbound on U.S. 412.
The trooper said Trollinger was distracted inside the cab, the truck ran off the roadway to the right, struck an embankment and kept traveling east in the ditch.
The truck hit trees and a fence coming to rest. Biggs reported Trollinger’s condition at the time the crash occurred was apparently normal. He listed cause of the collision as inattention.
Seat belts were equipped and in use, the trooper stated.
Biggs, of the Beaver County Detachment of Troop I, was assisted by Trooper Dustin McAtee, Woodward Fire and Woodward EMS and the Woodward Sheriff’s Office.
