Lincoln County commissioners this week voted to approve certification and a confidential settlement distribution statement for the Janssen Opioid Settlement.
County Clerk Alicia Wagnon said the county’s portion was more than $36,000. She advised commissioners that no resolution was ready yet.
Commissioners also approved setting up the Child Abuse Prevention Committee and appointed members other than those required by statute.
It was explained by statute the Court Clerk Cindy Kerby, juvenile judge who is Associate District Sheila Kirk and a member of the District Attorney’s Office serve on the committee. Commissioners appointed chairman Lee Doolen and community volunteer Diann Herrmann to serve on the committee. Doolen serves also by statute or one of his designees and commissioners decided on him Herrmann was recommended and District Attorney Adam Panter said she would be excellent, it was reported.
Panter reportedly will serve on the committee and in his absence First Assistant DA Adam Kallsnick will serve.
Commissioners authorized that bids go out for construction of two bridges in District 1.
They appointed Jesse Green of Wellston as a Fair Board member from District 3.
Cody McDonnell, assistant director of Emergency Management, was appointed to the Lincoln County E911 Authority Board of Directors.
In other business, commissioners: Accepted a $4,575.34 donation from Center-Point Holdings in District 1.
Approved storing the Chandler Chamber of Commerce’s Christmas tree.
Took no action to purchase Surface Pros for commissioners and County’s Clerk’s paperless meetings.
Took no action to purchase a lock down door system for courthouse offices.
Took no action to purchase ballistic film for exterior and interior courthouse windows.
Approved a declaration of surplus in the Court Clerk’s office.
Approved an Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority Certificate of Compliance for Behemoth, LLC.
