McLoudHighSchoolhas announced its valedictorians and salutatorian for the Class of 2023.
The valedictorians are Cassidy Glanzer-Marsh, Conner Ryan, Corie Barnes, Kaitlynn Schoon, Kylee Campbell, Madison Bickell, Zoe Walker and Tryce Lewis. The salutatorian is Cassidy Glanzer-Marsh.
Madison Bickel
Madison Bickel is the daughter of Lisa and Mike Bickel. She has attended McLoud schools since Kindergarten. She has received awards including Greenhand award, Discovery degree, Principals Honor Roll, and Superintendents Honor Roll. She has been active in Future Farmers ofAmerica, Family Career and Community LeadersofAmerica, Business Professionals of America, Art Club, and National Honor Society. Shehasbeeninvolvedinthe communitybyhelpingwith the Oklahoma Hot Boat Association, helped with two back to school events, helped paint sidewalks at McLoud elementary, helping with the National Honors Society Induction Ceremony each year, and reading to McLoud first graders. Madison’s plans after high school graduation are to attend Rose State College and getting an associate’s degree. Her end goal is to go to a bigger university for either a photography or psychology major. She would love to end up at either Oklahoma State University or Oklahoma University to further her education. While in college she plans to work at Tinker Air Force Base.
Tryce Lewis
Tryce Lewis is the son of Christeena and Tearon Lewis. He has attended McLoud schools since Kindergarten. He has a 3.98 GPA and has received awards including NationalHonorsSociety,LettermanJacket Recipient, All-City in Football, and Valedictorian. He has been active in National Honors Society and Gifted and Talented. He has been active in the community by helping with little league football and Junior Deacon at St. Baptist church.
Tryce is employed at Firelake Express Grocery and his plans for after high school graduation are to attend the University of Central Oklahoma to play football and get his degree. He will be pursuing the kinesiology course to ready himself for his goal of becoming a physical therapist.
Corie Barnes
Corie Barnes is the daughter of Melissa and Tommy Barnes. She has attended McLoud schools for 14 years. She has a 4.1 GPA and has received awards including Vice President of National Honors Society, Treasurer pf Business Professionals of America, Reporter of Family Community Career Leaders of America, AcademicArcher, 2023 Oklahoma NASP State Champion, and Oklahoma High School Honor Society award. She has been active in Art Club, Archery, Business Professionals of America, Family Community Career Leaders of America, gifted and talented, Link Crew, and National Honors Society. Her community involvement includes painting sidewalks at the elementary and helped teachers set up their classrooms, volunteering in the Kids ministry program at Harrah church, and volunteering with Citizens Caring for Children. Corie’s plans for after high school graduation are to attend Connors State College to further her education and archery career. She will pursue a degree in general studies.
Kaylee Campbell
Kaylee Campbell is the daughter of Linda and Rodney Campbell. She has attended McLoud for 5 years. She has a 4.23 GPA and has received awards including Academic Letterman Jacket, Oklahoma Honor Society, and Honorable mention All-Conference for wrestling. She has been active in National Honor Society, FCA, and wrestling. Her community involvement includes church. Kaylee’s plans after high school graduation are to wrestle in college and become a nurse.
Kaitlynn Schoon
Kaitlynn Schoon is the daughter of Crystal and Michael Schoon. She has attended McLoud schools for 12 years. She has a 4.11 GPA and has received awards including valedictorian and an academic letter jacket recipient. She has been active in National Honor Society, Redskin Regiment, founder of the school’s Dungeons and Dragons club, drama, and student director for the special education play. Her communityinvolvementincludespainting nursing home windows and elementary sidewalks and volunteering for the special olympics. Kaitlynn is employed at Great American Cookies and Marble Slab. Her plans for after high school graduation are to become a professional director and published author.
Connor Ryan
Connor Ryan is the son of Debbie and Greg Ryan. He has attended McLoud schools since Kindergarten. He has a 4.25 GPA and has received awards including Academic letterman jacket, Honors Biology class award, Pre-Calculus/Trig class award, physical science class award, geometry class award, Redskin award for Soccer, Redskin award for Track, and Oklahoma Honors Society. He has been active in Track, National Honors Society, Bible Club, Soccer, Football, and Fellowship of ChristianAthletes. His community involvement includes being a member of the Choctaw Road Baptist Church. Connor’s plans for after high school graduation include obtaining a college degree involving mathematics and going on to start his own business.
Zoe Walker
Zoe Walker is the daughter of Debbie and Gene Walker. She has attended McLoud schools for 14 years. She has a 4.08 GPAand has received awards including President of the McLoud chapter of the National Honors Society, Oklahoma Honors Society, Academic Letterman Jacket, Superintendent’s Honor Roll, Principal’s Honor Roll, Principal’s Honor Roll, Employment Essentials Award, and President of Business Professionals of America. She has been active in National Honors Society, Business Professionals of America, Art Club, Family Career and CommunityLeadersofAmerica,andLink Crew. Her community involvement includes serving as the 2022-2023 McLoud Blackberry Queen and volunteering for the organization Citizens Caring for Children on multiple occasions. Zoe’s plans after high school graduation are to attend Connors State University for nursing and become a pediatric nurse in a hospital or a small practice.
Cassidy Glanzer-Marsh Cassidy Glanzer-Marsh is the daughter ofBrandiMarsh.ShehasattendedMcLoud schools for 13 years. She has a 3.85 GPA and has received awards including Student of the month, Outstanding Achievement in Human Growth and Development, Algebra 2, Advanced Placement English Language, and Film as Literature. She has been active in Oklahoma Honors Society, National Honors Society,Art Club, Gifted and Talented, Link Crew, Prom Committee, Vice president of Junior and Senior class,andyearbook.Shehasbeeninvolved in the community by painting sidewalks for McLoud elementary, organizing a project called “The Little Creatures Project”, organized a powder puff football game, and organized the Umbrella drive.
Cassidy is employed as decorator assistant and social media creator for Aire Designs of Texas and her plans after high school graduation are to attend Oklahoma Baptist University and study Psychology. She intends to become an online counselor so that she can travel the world and find where she would like to settle down. Once she finds her forever home she plans to open her own private practice and counseling center for those in need.
