3- to 5-year olds
Lil’ Chaos is a soccer team in Chandler of 3- to 5-year olds whose name serves its players’ style of play justice. The team met regularly at the Chandler Soccer Club fields for the last couple months, with last Tuesday being their last game of the season.
Before each game, the coaches led the kids in stretches, but some like Greyson Want (below) took this time to run around. For these kids, the fun began before the game.
At this age, recreational sports teams serve more to introduce children to the basics of sports rather than for competition. When kids like Skylar Horst and Charles Hardgrave (above) took off down the field, the entire crowd erupted with cheers to encourage them to keep going and score.
Kids playing outside in the heat are bound to get hot, but they stayed hydrated like Rozlynn Hardgrave (left) and continued to have fun.
To help keep the kids focused, the coaches and some parents stayed on field to guide the kids through playing as pictured with Veronica Hall and Keke Pierce (bottom left).
These kids sought out fun more than competition, like Kendelle Pierce and Skylar Horst (bottom right).
