Lions of the Month announced

Robert Wood and Breanna Guinn have been named Lions of the Month for November by the Lions Club.

Robert Wood is the son of Geoffrey Wood and Linda Rivera. After graduating, he plans to attend Oklahoma State University and obtain a bachelor’s and master’s in mechanical aerospace engineering.

Wood is ranked No. 8 in the Class of 2024 with a 3.95 GPA. He has made the Principal’s Honor Roll for three years and lettered in academics for two years. He has won the Robotics Inspiration Award. Wood has been the vice president of Business Professionals of America, treasurer of the student council, reporter and treasurer for the student council at Gordon Cooper Technology Center and city representative for Boys State.

He has also attended the Pre-Engineering Academy at Gordon Cooper for two years.

Other groups that Wood has participated in are Robotics (FRC) at Gordon Cooper, the National Honor Society and the National Technical Honor Society.

Wood’s community involvement includes volunteering at the Special Olympics, American Legion market, American Legion Christmas float, and working at the Halloween haunt at the Lincoln County Museum of Pioneer History.

Breanna Guinn is the daughter of Justin and Rikki Guinn. After graduating, she plans to attend Oklahoma State University for a bachelor’s degree and then veterinary school to become a licensed veterinarian.

Guinn has a 3.9 GPA and made the Superintindent’s Honor Roll for three years. She’s also won the Academic Excellence Award for three years, the Award of Academic Achievement in English 10, and the OSU Academic Excellence Scholarship.

Groups that Guinn has been part of include Yearbook, Gifted and Talented, BancFirst Student Board, Business Professionals of America and FCCLA.
