Pleas in felony cases

A Cushing man facing felonies in two different cases filed against him this year has pleaded innocent during his arraignment in one of the cases.

Formal felony charges were filed in Lincoln County District Court in January of this year against Eddie Gene Moore, 73.

Those charges filed in January include cruelty to animals, a felony and misdemeanors possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Special Judge Emily Mueller set his bond in that case at $25,000 after he failed to make a court appearance in March of this year.

That bond has remained and a motion for reduction in bond was denied in April, court records show.

During his arraignment before District Judge Sarah Bridge, he pleaded innocent. She has scheduled him for the felony disposition docket at 9 a.m. on Dec. 17.

Supplemental information filed by Assistant District Attorney Kelly Trimble shows Moore was convicted of the felony offense of homicide on June 24, 1983 in Creek County District Court.

Formal felony charges were filed in Lincoln County District Court Sep. 23, 2024 against Eddie Gene Moore, 73, Cushing, including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon or in the Alternative Count 2 endangering others while eluding/attempting to elude a police officer.

He was also charged with a misdemeanor of driving while license was canceled, suspended, revoked.

He made his initial appearance on Sep. 26 before Special Judge Emily Mueller. She eaerlier set his bond at $5,000.

Judge Mueller has scheduled his prepreliminary hearing for Nov. 21.

In the case filed Sep. 23 this year against Moore, in Count 1 he is accused on Sep. 19, 2024 of assaulting Capt. Larry Stover with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office with a dangerous weapon, a semi-truck with intent to harm Stover.
