As is our Thanksgiving tradition at the Lincoln County News, we asked first-graders at area elementary schools to give us recipes for cooking turkeys.
You might find a few ideas to try for yourself this Thanksgiving.
Here are three recipes we thought were especially interesting.
These and others are in our special section, Pages 1D-4D. First you get a turkey, then a momma turkey too. You put them both in a pot then put them in the microwave. Cook for 7 minutes. Flip the turkeys like pancakes, then cook for another 8 minutes. Pull out your turkeys and put butter and cotton on them for seasoning. And that’s it you’re done!

First, buy a turkey at Walmart for $1,000.00. Next cut head off and rip legs off. Then, cook on stove for 20 hours at 700 degrees. Lastly, serve with bisquits, pumpkin pie, gravy and drink berry juice.
Alivia K. East Side Elementary My Papa would shoot the turkey, and I would cut it open with my pocketknife. I would cook it for two hours in the oven very hot. Then I would eat it with everybody in my family.
