Lincoln County commissioners during a recent special meeting voted 2-1 in favor of supporting State Rep. Jim Shaw’s letter concerning Green Energy.
County Clerk Alicia Wagnon said District 1 Commissioner Will Fine made a motion to support Shaw’s letter and District 3 Commissioner Lee Doolen seconded it.
Both Fine and Doolen voted in favor of the motion. District 2 Commissioner Marlon Miller opposed supporting the letter.
Shaw’s letter strongly opposes Green Energy, industrial wind turbines and solar projects.
In other action, commissioners also approved appointment of Requisition Officers for the Safety Department.
They include Virgil Wilson, Chassary Goodman, Rachel Tipton and Kimberly Dibble.
They also voted to approve the Title Sheet for Bridge 381 in District 1.
