Mike McCormick Staff Writer Chandler Board of Education members reorganized during their most recent meeting and also approved the calendar for the 2025/2026 school year.
School Supt. Scott Baade said in the organization of the board Joseph Irby was elected president and Tony Lee was elected vice president.
Baade said Kristy Cunningham was appointed clerk of the board.
The school superintendent noted about the only change in the school calendar for 2025-2026 is that Parent-Teacher conferences will be on two nights rather than a day and night in order to give more parents the chance to attend them.
Board members also approved the Memorandum of Understanding with Lincoln County Partnership for Child Well Being for the 2025/2026 school year.
He said a contract was approved with the Department of Rehabilitative Services for the 2025/2026 school year.
In other business, the board: Approved the school picture bid proposal with Central Oklahoma School Pictures (Tom Flora) of Shawnee, Okla., for the 2025/2026 school year.
Approved the agreement with Employee Evaluation Systems, Inc., for the Oklahoma Teacher Leader Effectiveness teacher evaluation program for the 2025/2026 school year.
Approved BPA (Business Professionals of America) to attend the National Leadership Conference in Championsgate, Fla. May 7-11, 2025.
Voted to allow the 2025 Senior Class to attend an out-of-state trip to Dallas, Texas on May 15, 2025.
Voted to pay qualified National Board-Certified Staff members a bonus stipend of $5,000 less the required state and federal withholdings. Those qualifying include Dana Key and Randee Gray.
Approved a list of refurbished Nano iPods and additional items as surlpus.
