Chandler rehires principals

Chandler Board of Education members this week re-employed the district’s three principals for the 2025-2026 school year and also accepted the resignations of three other personnel.

School Supt. Scott Baade also announced,” We will be virtual with our instruction on Thursday this week.” He explained, “That’s so our students and staff can attend the state basketball tournament in which the Chandler boys play at 10:30 a.m.”

The board members went into executive session and after returning to open meeting Baade said they re-employed the Administration to include Bridge Hughey, Park Road principal, Freddie Hall, Junior High principal and Geoff Metheny, high school principal.

They accepted the resignations of Marilyn Young, secondary history teacher, Marilyn Sokolowski, Special Education teacher and Shannon Smith, East Side Administrative Assistant.

Board members voted to approve the contract for an independent auditor to perform the audit of the 2024-2025 Fiscal Year.

They approved the contract with “Fire Safety Inspections” for the annual inspection of all fire systems and the annual fire system monitoring.

They approved a contract with ADPC for basic accounting software services for the 2025/2026 fiscal year.

They voted to approve any and all courses and their respective high school credits offered to Chandler School students while attending Gordon Cooper Technology Center during FY 2025/2026.
