There is a new piece of playground equipment in the park. Town Talk purchased the equipment with their part of the profits from the sale of the blue Tiger lightbulbs. David Evans and Melvin Brown drove to Dewey to make the purchase, helped disassemble it and brought it back to Stroud. Service King sandblasted and painted the equipment for Town Talk. David and Melvin then delivered it to the park and reassembled it. Bob Pearman and his City crew installed it. As they say, it takes a village. Be sure and check it out. It is a nice addition to Foster Park. Speaking of playground equipment, I understand Parkview Elementary is having new equipment installed over Spring Break. They had a committee of teachers suggest playground ideas and it is about to come to fruition. The kids will come back from break to a big surprise. Thank you to Parkview teachers and staff for all they do for our kiddos.
