An Edmond man who failed to show for a court appearance and who has a $100,000 bench warrant out for his arrest has been charged with bail jumping, a felony.
Zhou Guo, 35, of Edmond, was formally charged April 9, 2024 in Lincoln County District Court with trafficking in illegal drugs after he was stopped on the Turner Turnpike for a traffic violation.
The felony drug charge came after more than 50 pounds of marijuana was seized from his vehicle.
Guo was due in court on Jan. 28, 2025 for a disposition docket, but failed to appear after being called three times in Open Court. District Judge Sarah Bridge ordered the warrant be issued with bond set the amount of $100,000 and a bond forfeiture ordered.
On March 20, 2025, felony bail jumping was filed in Lincoln County District Court against Guo.
He is accused of between Feb. 3 and Feb. 18, 2025 of failing to appear before the District Court of Lincoln County and incurring a forfeiture of bail on Jan. 28, 2025 after having been admitted to bail in the sum of $75,000.
Appearing before District Judge Sarah Bridge for a felony disposition docket in late December, she set Guo’s case for the felony disposition docket on Jan. 28.
Guo was arrested on April 4, 2024 by State Trooper Matthew Ludwig.
Guo made his initial appearance on April 11. During his appearance before Special Judge Emily Mueller, he pleaded not guilty. She received the plea and set his prepreliminary hearing for May 23. His bond has been set at $75,000.
