Chandler Board of Education members this week approved the application for temporary appropriations for Fiscal Year 20252026, re-employed all of its certified staff and professional staff for 20252026 and accepted several resignations.
The board hired the following new personnel during their board meeting this week.
Lisa Herring, East Side Elementary Principal; Andrew Cunningham, Junior High geography teacher; Shawn Gilland, math teacher; Brianna Godfrey, Junior High Science teacher; Skylar Tate, Elementary teacher; Barbara Hall Special Education teacher; Candice Telford, Secondary Aide/Substitute; Karen Flowers, paraprofessional; Karen Ebers, paraprofessional; George Ruiz, full time bus driver.
Board members accepted the resignations of the following people: Elizabeth Goliver, Junior High Geography teacher; Alex Reed, Junior High Science teacher; Angie Tait, Paraprofessional; Shonda Brisco, High School English teacher; Steve Brisco, Special Education teacher; James Allen, bus driver; and Janice Regan, Paraproffesional.
Board members also adopted a resolution for Schools and Libraries Universal Services (ERate) for 2023-2024. It also authorizes filing of a form for applications for funding year 2024-2025 and payment of the applicant’s share upon approval of funding and receipt of services.
Approved the second year of a three-year lease agreement between Ross Transportation and Chandler Public Schools for the 2025/2026 school year.
They rejected joining the OSSBA Natural Gas Consortium.
Approved entry into an agreement with the Cooperative Council for Oklahoma School Administration to participate in CCOSA’s District Level Services for FY 2025/2026.
Approved the Comprehensive Employment Service Agreement provided by OSSVA formerly known as OPSUCA for FY 2025/2026.
Approved the continuation of policy Services with Oklahoma State School Boards Association for FY 2025/2026, Approved the continuation of District Membership with OSSBA for 2025/2026. Approved the East Central Oklahoma On-Line Consortium between Gordon Cooper Technology C e n ter and Chandler Public Schools for the 2025/2026 school year.
Approved a contract with Oklahoma Drug Drug and Alcohol Testing, LLC., for testing of bus drivers for the 2025/2026 school year.
Approved the bid from Ben. E. Keith as food vendor for the 2025/2026 year and for furnish food supplies for the District’s Child Nutrition Program.
Approved the milk bid from Hiland Dairy Foods Co. Approved a contract with Shelley Haley as website coordinator for FY 2025/2026.
