A Stroud man previously convicted of two felonies, among them one just two months ago, faces a new felony and misdemeanor.
Robert Clinton Walker, about 32, was formally charged in Lincoln County District on March 3, 2025 with bringing contraband (weapons), explosives, drugs, intoxicating beverage into jail/penal institution, a felony.
He also faces a misdemeanor of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor.
He made his initial appearance on March 6, 2025 and his bond has been set at $3,000. His pre-preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. May 8, 2025.
Count 1 accuses Walker on Feb. 23, 2025 of bringing into the Lincoln County Jail, an item of contraband, specifically a CBD vape pen and methamphetamine without authority to do so.
In count 2 he is charged with DUI on Feb. 23, 2025 by operating a motor vehicle on S. 4th Street in Stroud with a blood of breath alcohol concentration of eighthundredths (.08) or more while under the influence of an intoxicating beverage.
Supplemental information filed in the case byAssistant District Attorney Rachel Thompson shows Walker was convicted on Jan. 18, 2012 in Lincoln County District Court of Distribution of Controlled Dangerous Substance.
On Jan. 14, 2025 in Lincoln County District Court he was convicted of possession of a firearm after former felony conviction.
