Man convicted of child neglect

A 59-year-old man facing multiple charges for alleged sex crimes against minors has been been convicted of child neglect.

Mark Leon Miller, Sr., of Midwest City, appeared before District Judge Sarah Bridge March 25 on formal charges filed against him on Aug. 15, 2024 in Lincoln County District Court. They included enabling child sexual abuse, enabling child sexual exploitation and child neglect.

The jury has recommended two years in prison as punishment. Associate Judge Joe Dobry. who presided over the case, has scheduled 1:30 p.m. Aug. 6 for sentencing.

Assistant District Attorney Rachel Thompson prosecuted the case for the state and defense attorneys were Corey Brennan and Catherine Perrelli.
