Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Main Street Pavilion on Sunday to make donations for Stroud’s rescued dogs. We received supplies and monetary donations. I delivered all donations to the Tulsa Humane Society and Skiatook Paws andClawsAnimalRescueonMonday and Tuesday. Thank you to Keith and Sue Prater and Leon and Vivian Henshaw for helping staff the donation table and loading the items into my truck. Both organizations were very appreciative of our support.
DavidHennigerrecentlypurchased a Main Street banner for his son SFC Matthew Henniger who retired from the army. If you would like to purchase the other side of this banner, please call me at 918-527-9833. Banners will remain on Main Street until November and will be back up in January. It’s a great way to honor or memorialize a friend or loved one.

In 2024, Stroud in Action took a bold step toward creating a stronger, moreconnectedcommunitybyadopting Bridges Out of Poverty as a key initiative for the organization. They have developed a strategic plan with clear goals and objectives aimed at reducing barriers, strengthening families, and fostering economic stability. Our local program is titled “Bridges Across Route 66.” I attended their kick-off meeting this past week and received information on how the program will be implemented. The first class will begin in August. Stroud in Action is looking for individuals who would like to participate. Call me if you are interested and I can point you in the right direction to apply. Exciting things are happening in Stroud.
