Dale School Board members during their most recent meeting approved the Estimate of Needs for the 20252026 school year and agreed on purchasing a new Ag truck.
They also were informed total enrollment is similar to a year ago.
School Supt. Will Jones said the General Fund Estimate of Needs totals $6,099,068.
He said enrollment as reported by the three principals totals 858. The breakdown is 322 elementary students, 283 Middle School students and 253 high school students.
Board members agreed to purchasing a new Ag truck and will receive bids for the old Ag truck in the near future. Jones said he hasn’t set a date yet when to take those bids.
It was announced that the 2025-2026 ACT dates for Juniors will be in April of 2026.
Board members approved a Cornhole Tournament as a Student Council fund raiser.
They also renewed the contract with Stephen L. Smith Corp. as financial advisor for 2025-2026.
They approved number a of new policies recommended by the OSSBA for accreditation purposes.
As part of his superintendent’s report, Jones went over the financial report which board members later confrrmed.
