Week of April 13-18
Carney
For the week: 2-0. Wins over Macomb (15-3) and Prue (8-2). Record:13-5.
Lane Ramsey had a pair of doubles and single against Macomb and Garrett Webb pitching three innings of one-hit ball, striking out three.
Against Prue, Remington Martin, Edgar, Ramsey, Urban Spoonmoore and James Martin all had two hits, with Edgar and Remington hitting triples. James Martin pitched the first four innings, allowing two hit sand striking out four.
Chandler
For the week: 3-0. Wins over Okmulgee (20-2 and 150) and Stroud 8-7. Record: 12-12.
Bryson Taylor and Hudson Bennitt had three hits apiece in the win over Stroud. Christian Goeller had a double and single and picked up the pitching win with an inning and a third of relief.
Bennitt had what to be the winning RBI when he singled to left field, driving in Rhett Haley in the bottom of the sixth.
The Lions battered Okmulgee on Monday. Landon Earp had a triple, two singles and four RBI in the first game and Maddox Metheny had a triple, a singe and four RBI in the second.
Dale
For the week: 3-0. Wins over Latta (5-2), Okarche (86) and Jones (4-2).Record: 15-4. Ranked No. 1 in Class 2A-1.
Against Latta, Denton Forsythe drove in a pair of runs and Wyatt Seeley and Andrew Collins each had two hits.
Cruz Garrett and Braylon White drove in three runs each against Okarche Garrett pitched five innings of one-hit ball and got the pitching win against Jones. He struck out nine and didn’t walk a batter. A.J. Carpenter homered.
Davenport
For the week: 1-0. Win over Wellston (6-4). Record 14-8. Ranked No. 10 in Class A-2.
The Bulldogs banged out five extra base hits against Wellston. Carter Marshall had two doubles and three RBI, Reece Murfin had a double and two RBI, Trevor Edwards had a double, Brody Robinson had a double and Tyler Gilkison had two singles.
McLoud
For the week: 0-3. Losses to Pauls Valley (8-6 and 8-6) and Ripley (12-6). Record: 6-20.
Brayden Smith had a single, double, triple and two RBI in the first game aginst Pauls Valley.
Justus Rooker homered in the Tuesday game and Smith, Chase Bane and Eli Raines had doubles.
North Rock Creek
For the week: 4-0. Wins over Cushing (7-3 and 11-1), Ripley (9-1) and Sallisaw (12-4). Record: 17-8.
The Cougars got strong pitching against Cushing. Kona Pangingsoro went seven innings in the Monday game, allowing six hits and striking out five in seven innings.
On Tuesday, it was Tyler Bergsten and Alexander Monge combining for a five-inning five-hitter. They struck out two each.
Landon Rosser had a double and five RBI against Ripley and Jace Plumb knocked in three runs with two hits. Lane Scallorn got the pitching win with a fourhitter. He threw strikes on 56 of his 80 pitches and struck out three.
Against Sallisaw, the Cougars had eight extra-base hits. Rosser had a double and triple, Hasten Conley and Mavrick Wingo had two doubles each, Humter Bertram had a double and Plumb doubled.
Prague
For the week: 1-2. Win over Okemah (12-2). Losses to Kellyville (11-0 and 14-4). Record: 10-12.
Hayden Kinslow had three hits and three RBI to pace the win over Okemah. Eli Grange and Talan Thomas each had two hits and Henry Hankins got the pitching with a four-inning two-hitter.
Runs were scarce against Kellyville, but Kinslow had two hits on Tuesday and Landon Terrell had two RBI.
Stroud
For the week: 1-3. Win over Okemah (17-3). Losses to Chandler (8-7), Navajo (7-3) and Amber-Pocasset (50). Record: 17-9. Ranked No. 9 in Class 2A-1.
Stryker Bray homered and Gideon Smalley tripled and drove in four runs against Okemah. Landry Davis had three hits and Jeremiah Cropp scored three times.
Jessen Leathers had a double and scored twice against Chandler.
Hits were hard to come by against Am-Po, but Davis had a double and single.
Wellston
For the week: 2-1. Wins over Yale: 8-5. (8-7) and Depew (7-3). Loss to Davenport (6-4.). Record: 8-5.
The WTs put together a six-run sixth inning rally to get the win over Yale. Grady Hull had two RBI and Chase Baldwin scored three runs.
Against Depew, Justin Kelley had a three-run homer, a single and four RBI and Baldwin drove in three runs.
