4-H talent contest

Lincoln County 4-H members met recently at the Prague High School auditorium to compete in the 4-H Has Talent contest. The competition is an opportunity for students to display their talent in front of fellow 4-H members. Participants can take part in one individual and one small or large group act.

Cloverbuds, five-year-olds through second graders, can participate but do not compete. Felicia Woods of Wellston received recognition for her act, “Dancing Ballerina.” Annabell McCarley and Jaden Wakley from Chandler were recognized for their act, “Jesus Loves Me.”

In the Junior Individual competition Gracin Jones, Meeker, received first place and a blue ribbon for “Piano – Carol of the Bells.” Blue ribbons were awarded to William Darphin, Wellston, “Pogo Stick Routine;” Emma Tabor, Meeker, “Comedy-Jokes;” Elizabeth Smith, Carney, “Dance;” Amelia Riggin, Chandler, “Guitar;” and Curtis Liam, Carney, “Ode to Joy – Guitar Solo.”

In the Senior Small Group, honors went to Jarrod Stone, Ethan Stone, Abel Brown, Baylee Bowen, Brianna Wakley, Daphnee Brown, and Elijah Brown, all of Chandler, who received first place and blue ribbons with “Presidential Debate.”
