Georgia “Louise” Flowers of Meeker was born to George Leroy and Minnie Ola (Gentry) Bishop on March 17, 1940, in Oklahoma City. She died Saturday, April 25, 2020, at the age of 80 years.
A Meeker High School graduate, Flowers worked as a blueprint inspector for Hughes Helicopter in Tempe, Ariz. After returning to Oklahoma she worked at Prague National Bank, which is now Vision Bank, until her retirement. She attended Meeker First Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters, Billie Bowen and Betty Friend; and two brothers, Edward “Jack” Bishop and Lloyd Bishop.
Survivors include her husband Joe Flowers of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ron Smith of Oklahoma City and Greg and Carolina Smith of Avondale, Ariz.; two grandchildren; her sister-in-law Donna Welch of Shawnee, Okla.; her sister Mildred “Tootsie” White; her brother Ray Bishop; and other relatives and friends.
A graveside service was held Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker. Arrangements were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Meeker.
